About Olivia
I am a New York–based, self-taught artist working primarily in large-format painting. My practice is rooted in intuition, material exploration, and a fascination with the unseen forces that shape our inner and outer worlds.
I work across acrylic, oil, pastel, ink, and watercolor, often beginning by flooding the canvas with diluted pigment and allowing organic forms to emerge. Rather than following a fixed plan, I respond to what develops, trusting gesture, color, and instinct to guide the work forward.
Themes of body, nature, and spirit recur throughout my work. Influenced by contemporary abstraction and the emotional weight of historical painting, I aim to create spaces that feel both inviting and unsettling; places for reflection, devotion, and curiosity.
